Volunteer Roles

FRONT OF HOUSE

Our Sales Floor Volunteers are the first point of contact for customers when they enter our charity shop. You will be greeting customers, helping them find the items they’re looking for and answering their questions, with help on hand from the shop team.
 
You will provide invaluable help in the running of the shop, keeping it stocked and attractively displayed. Our community-facing team in charge of facilitating our clothing exchange and making sales in our shop, events, and festivals. The FOH is responsible for our community’s experience of FFF.

  • Helping customers on the shop floor & providing good all-round customer service

  • Promoting our campaigns and any in-store sales to customers
​
  • Working on window and shop displays to make them look their best
​
  • Keeping the shop tidy, clean and well organised – some light housekeeping
​
  • Helping with customer queries
Minimum: 4hrs / month

BACK OF HOUSE

If you’d like to make a difference behind the scenes, if you’re a keen rummager or if you like things to be neat and tidy, then we have a role for you - helping in our FFF shop stock room. If you love a bit of ironing, then master the clothes steamer and watch those wrinkles disappear (it’s surprisingly therapeutic!), or become a clothes tagger extraordinaire, allowing customers to understand what item they are purchasing.
 
If you want a hands-on volunteer role behind the scenes or just fancy the company of other friendly volunteers our shop stock room is the place to be. The Back of House Team focuses on alleviating clothing poverty through connect our donated clothing to local charities supporting those who need clothing. Additionally, the BOH team curates clothing to be exchanged at our swap.

REMOTE

Are you ready to unleash your inner event planner, social media guru, or wordsmith extraordinaire? If you're not based in London you can still help us make a difference. We're looking for all sorts of skills that can be volunteered remotely. Help your team on a project by project basis. Lend your expertise to a growing organisation.

These are just some project ideas that remote volunteers can explore.
 
  • Draft a press release to launch our upcoming events.
     
  • Help us reach out to sponsors​
     
  • Host virtual workshops so we can can expand our reach
     
  • ​Edit content remotely so we can post more regularly
     
  • Take over our newsletter to keep our audience up to date​
